For my first attempt, I chose a front-facing selfie with fairly even lighting and no hair covering most of my face.

I started by trying long, wavy hair.

The result appeared after around 10–20 seconds.

The face still looked like mine, and the hair did not resemble a simple image pasted over my head. The hairline and the transitions along the sides of the face looked much more natural than with an ordinary filter.

If the photo has strong backlighting, hair covering the face, or an extreme angle, the AI needs to guess more information and the preview becomes less useful as a reference.

The hair-color feature is fairly straightforward.

I tested dark brown, blonde, and silver with the same hairstyle.

It works well for deciding whether a color generally suits you.

However, the generated result should not be treated as an exact color reference for a real dye job.

Your original hair color, hair texture, and the number of bleaching sessions will all affect the actual outcome. The AI preview can only show the broad direction.

The AI hairstyle advisor works more like a filter for narrowing down options.

If you do not know where to begin, letting it recommend a few styles can save you from browsing through many choices.

However, its recommendations will not necessarily match your personal taste.

For example, you may specifically want to try short hair, while the AI continues recommending medium or long styles based on your face shape.

I would therefore not treat “the AI says it suits you” as a final conclusion.

A better approach is to use it to narrow the options, while also generating the styles you already wanted to try for comparison.

Pricing requires some attention.

The number of free generations is usually limited. Once you begin testing hairstyles and colors repeatedly, you may reach the payment page quickly.

When you are ready to visit a salon, bring along a few of your favorite results.

The best use of Hairstyle AI is to help you reduce some of the uncertainty before anyone actually picks up the scissors.
