Magnific’s most obvious strength is still image upscaling.
After processing a low-resolution image at 2× or 4×, its edges and textures become much clearer than with ordinary enlargement. The improvement is especially noticeable in skin, hair, fabric, and illustration details.
However, many of those details are regenerated by AI. They are not truly “recovered” from the original image.
The basic workflow is simple: upload an image, choose an upscale factor and preset, then generate. The real difficulty lies in adjusting the parameters.
Settings such as Creativity, Resemblance, HDR, and Fractality can significantly affect the result. If Resemblance is too low, a person may look less like the original with each enhancement. If Creativity is too high, the AI may add elements that were never present in the source.
There is no need to adjust every setting manually on your first attempt. Starting with presets such as Subtle, Vivid, and Wild makes it easier to determine the kind of result you want.
A higher upscale factor is not always better. Using 16× significantly increases credit consumption and processing time. The larger the image becomes, the more freedom the AI has to invent additional details.
In most cases, it is safer to begin with 2× or 4×, check the result, and only upscale further if necessary.
Different images also require different modes. Photographs, illustrations, game textures, and landscapes have different detail-processing requirements.
For portraits in particular, it is best to keep the resemblance setting relatively high. Otherwise, you may end up with a sharper image of a different-looking person.
